1:1 Therapy: In-Person in Squamish and Online throughout BC
My Therapeutic Approaches
I offer integrative, trauma-informed counselling tailored to each individual, drawing from evidence-based and somatic approaches to support emotional regulation, healing, and meaningful change.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT focuses on building psychological flexibility—helping you relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions, develop mindfulness skills, and take values-based action in your life. This approach supports greater resilience, self-compassion, and clarity about what truly matters to you.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT helps identify and gently challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours that may be contributing to distress. By developing practical skills and new perspectives, clients can create lasting changes in mood, coping, and daily functioning.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) / Parts Work
Parts Work recognizes that we all have different “parts” shaped by our life experiences. This approach helps you understand and build compassion for these parts—especially those connected to protection, trauma, or shame—while strengthening your sense of self, internal balance, and emotional safety.
Somatic Approaches
Somatic therapy supports healing by working with the nervous system and the body’s felt experience. By increasing awareness of physical sensations, stress responses, and embodied cues, clients can develop greater regulation, grounding, and connection—particularly helpful for trauma, anxiety, and chronic stress.
Mindfulness-Based Practices
Mindfulness techniques are integrated throughout therapy to support present-moment awareness, emotional regulation, and stress reduction. These practices can help you slow down, notice patterns with curiosity, and respond more intentionally rather than react automatically.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a specialized, evidence-based therapy used to process and resolve unresolved trauma and distressing life experiences. It can help reduce the emotional intensity of painful memories and support long-term healing and integration.
I have extensive experience working with clients facing various concerns, including:
Anxiety: GAD, social anxiety, OCD, phobias
Substance use and drinking concerns
Depression and other mood disorders
Unresolved trauma and PTSD
Low motivation or feeling "stuck"
Stress, burnout, or feeling overwhelmed
Compulsive behaviours
