If you're seeking counselling through your insurance provider, my designation is MSW/RSW (Master of Social Work/Registered Social Worker). Please contact your insurance company directly if you're unsure which counselling designation is covered under your plan, as every insurance company varies. Some cover for RCC designations, while others cover for MSW/RSW. Currently, most counsellors in BC are unable to directly bill insurance companies. Instead, we'll provide you with an invoice after each session. You can then submit this to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

During your initial session, it's typical to experience a range of emotions, such as excitement, nerves, or anticipation. What matters most is understanding that there's no "right" or "wrong" way to approach therapy. Some clients come prepared with specific topics, while others may feel uncertain about where to begin. In our first session, my aim is to begin understanding your world through questions and attentive listening. We'll also address consent and confidentiality boundaries, and explore potential session frequency and duration.

Holistic Approach: I believe in the powerful connection between mind and body, and I'm dedicated to nurturing this connection for deeper healing.
Therapeutic Tools: While I use traditional talk therapy to connect with my clients, I believe in offering a range of techniques including Mindfulness, ACT, CBT, and EMDR to address each client’s unique needs effectively. Every client is different so we work to find a combination of tools which works best for you and your goals for therapy.
